Job Fair/Open House slated for Oct. 16

Maintainer Custom Bodies, Inc. (MCB) has announced plans to expand the production capacity at its Rock Rapids manufacturing plant. MCB leaders announced to its employees last week that it plans to break ground this month on a plant addition that will increase factory space by 22%.

The expansion and plant reorganization is expected to be fully completed by Spring 2015.  It will add 7200 sq. ft. to the existing manufacturing facility.

We need to increase our workforce, add paint capacity, and maximize the flow of product through our plant. Upgrading the facility and our technology will help our employees work more efficiently and safely.”

MCB has contracts with Federal Government procurement agencies that were recently renewed. That business, along with the uptick in rescue body orders, should result in a 50% increase in truck shipments over the next 12 months.IMG_6697 smaller.jpg

In order to staff up for the increased production needs, MCB is hosting a Job Fair & Open House on Thursday, October 16 from 2 to 6 pm. MCB currently employs 30 people but would like to add at least 6 more.

“The Job Fair will take place at the MCB facility at 909 S East Street in Rock Rapids,” said Human Resources Director Brad DeBoer. “We would really like the community to see what we do, see our plans for the future, and consider a career move to Maintainer Custom Bodies. We think this growth will be great for Rock Rapids.”
